What is ADR?
ADR (Average Daily Rate) is the average price of the rooms you actually sold. It tells you how well your pricing is doing, separate from how full you are. Pair it with occupancy and you get RevPAR — the metric that ties price and occupancy together.
How to calculate ADR
Divide your total room revenue by the number of rooms sold: ADR = Total Room Revenue ÷ Rooms Sold. To see how ADR drives your bottom line, read Revenue Management for Independent Hotels or browse all our free hotel tools.
